Namaskar.

I am in Indore Deaf Bilingual Academy, which was established by Mook Badhir Sangathan. We have an association, a school and a college where courses like B.A, B.com, M.A, M.Com are offered to deaf persons.

Along with that, computer courses like DCS, PGDCA along with Sign Language courses, art and craft, culture, dance, drama, Miss India,

Mr India, all of this, including sports are also offered here.

Currently, 600 deaf kids from all over India are studying here. At any point in time, 15-20 of our kids are always participating in some State or National event.

We are connected to the All India Sports Council of the Deaf.

We are connected to the All India Deaf Art and Cultural Society, as well as All India Federation of the Deaf.

All of these are national associations.

We want deaf children to have the same opportunities that hearing children often receive.

With support from the Sports Authority of India (SAI), deaf children from here participate in international sports events such as the Asian Games and Deaflympics, where we bring all the kids together.

There are games like chess, wrestling, in which our deaf kids compete internationally.

Apart from that, in the field of education, our deaf kids take the MP Board exams with non-disabled kids.

They attend regular courses and study consistently here.

They are also taught speech and instructed using Sign Language.

National Competitions are held in a particular city or state. SAI, Sports Authority of India, arranges camps for the kids who are selected to go to the Olympics or the Asian Games.

The winners are sponsored, their complete travel arrangements are sponsored which allows them to play different sports like swimming, athletics, wrestling, badminton, long-jump etc.

There are different kinds of runs or walks too. Races as long as 2000 meters also take place, with many deaf participants from various states and cities in India, including Bombay, Kerala, Indore, and MP, returning as winners at the National level.

All India Sports Council of the Deaf supports and encourages them.

Every year, different states get an opportunity to host the games so that the players from India can visit different states. A varying number of players are sent to the Olympics and the Asian Games.

As you know, the last Deaflympics were held in Brazil, where we won many gold medals.

The next Deaflympics is going to be held in Japan, oh sorry.

The next Asian Games are planned to be held in Japan in 2025.

Since the Deaflympics in Brazil, the dates for the next Deaflympics have not been announced, but the Asian Games will be held in Tokyo, Japan.

We have high hopes that the government will continue to support us, enabling capable players to participate, win, and bring home medals.

People are now aware about these things.

Regarding education, I believe deaf individuals should continue their studies and attend college, as graduating from school alone is no longer sufficient. Deaf people must attend college.

There are computer courses, sign language courses, and many other programs where deaf individuals are making significant progress. We see their joy and satisfaction as they gain new knowledge and skills.

I am delighted to see this progress.
