Determined Gamechanger
In a world where the concept of disability often evokes assumptions of limitations, Happy challenges every preconceived notion about him with his unwavering determination and resilience. Meet Happy, a man who refuses to let his physical disability define him or dictate the course of his life. He sends a powerful message to the world – that disability is not synonymous with incapacity, and that with the right mindset and determination, anything is possible.
A lot of people tell me to use artificial limb.
But I have modified myself according to my disability.
So I don’t need any artificial limbs.
Neither do I have the need for someone’s support to do a particular work or anything like that. I don’t need it.
According to my disability, I have modified myself.

[The poem written]
There are no feelings in the hearts of stone
People around you are often not with you
Why do people vex themselves over the lines on their palms?
Don’t they attain their destinies, who do not have hands?

There are two types of disabilities.
One where someone is born disabled and the other where a person faces an accident, like in my case.
I was ten years old when in an accident, due to getting electrocuted, I lost both my arms.
For three years I kept myself hidden in the house.
Then a voice from inside me said, ‘no, how long will I sit at home? How long will I keep myself locked in?’
After that, I got out of the house myself.
I saw a kid going to school and felt the want rise inside me that I want to go to school as well.
I told my older brother I want to go to school and he admitted me back to the school.
Ever since then I had decided I wanted to be someone in this life. I decided not to make my disability my weakness.
After that I started my studies, I passed my 8th, 10th, 12th.
Today I have graduated with an MA and B.Ed.
Yes, my name is Happy and I work as a Deputy Officer in Lovely Professional University.
Just like anyone else, I’m living a normal life.
I did not allow my disability to become a hindrance for me.
I want to encourage those people who, due to any kind of disability, choose to hide themselves in their homes. Please come out and face the real world.
Trust me, life is very beautiful, if you…unless you are brave and discard the label of disability from your mind, you won’t be able to move forward in life.
