This film is a 60-second journey into the world of persons with disabilities – beyond stereotypes and labels. This short film challenges the idea of “special treatment” and shows the truth: people with disabilities feel, dream, struggle and celebrate just like everyone else.
If you call me by a special name, it will only satisfy your ego.
And your behavior towards me will remain special, and never truly be normal,
Granted, the way I walk, move, see, hear, comprehend may not be like yours,
But believe me, I am just like you.
I am not how you think I am.
Whatever you choose to do, you can do, I too wish the same,
But is that really possible?
I have limitations.
While I can do many things, perhaps slowly
There are few things that remain out of reach for me.
But joy, sorrow, happiness, attachments, arguments, crying, laughter, emotions,
I experience all these feelings too.
And just like you, I am unique too.
